Stella Thought Spring Had Arrived

With it sunny and 48° with no snow, Stella thought spring had arrived and it was time for taking a short nap outside.

While she slept, Sadie found more interesting things to do.

It was a great day here in 'the tropics' of Southern Indiana ... April will be here before we know it.

    1. She would probably look great in a faded red one, don't you think?

  2. Nice to see you out with the hounds again and Stella enjoying the sun. I think Russ is right. What she needs is a hat or maybe a cap? ;)

Hope our sunny, 70° weather is headed your way.

    1. The 70° did show up and made me want more of it. It might snow Thursday but April is just a little over a month away. :)

  3. Great dogie pics, appears they are enjoying life in the tropics.

Nice to learn you are close to where you visited or lived as a kid. After a world of adventure, you returned to your roots. Must be a good feeling indeed.

    1. The hounds are pretty happy and content here. Stella, the new bloodhound (here 6mos) loves to ride but she also gets overly excited when we stop and there are people around. I am not sure a Rest Area stop would be easy for her, like the hounds handled it last June.

On occasion I will either look at or talk to friends still living in the areas I lived in the past. What I enjoyed in Carlsbad CA and then up at Whidbey Island is gone. Too much development and too many people. So this area is pretty good. I'm 70 miles from two cities and with 3-4 hour drive to Chicago and St Louis. Not a bad location and a very low cost of living. I have yet to find an area that has 12 months of great weather and low population. I will admit it is a good feeling to be settled. I've been here 19 years, the longest I have lived anywhere.
